Grös is out!

For the first time, I’m singing in Twents, a Dutch Low Saxon dialect. It is the language I grew up with. And it feels so familiar and right. If it makes you even a fraction as happy as it makes me, that would make me even happier

‘Grös’ means grass in Twents. In the countryside where I grew up, grass was everywhere. You almost stopped noticing it. Until suddenly you caught the smell of freshly cut grass, or saw the sparkle of drops on the green. ‘Grös’ is about appreciating the small things that quietly grow alongside you. The things that are always there, even when you don’t notice them for a while.

Carmina Latina

Jazz standards, new songs, a 2000-year-old poem by Catullus and a Chick Corea song. All in Latin. Because Judith really wants to integrate the beautiful Latin and her love for jazz.

Judith returns to her roots in Twente, the East of the Netherlands. With groovy bossa novas and heartfelt ballads in the Low Saxon dialect.
